After seeing the recent auctions, did they just wanna get into "restoration business" rather than designing better cars for the future? hehe

It all makes perfect commercial sense.

They look like they care about the old stuff and gain credibility from being seen to being at the coal face with these special cars. And, they make a fortune selling them.

The level of win is epic.

If I recall they've been given one of the gigs for restorations/classics dealing that Porsche are heading out to a few OPCs nationwide. It's not something they've just decided to do.

They must surely be getting some level of support from Porsche GB ? That's a st load of money for an OPC to have tied up in three cars! And given the restoration they will have had it tied up for a long time.

Must look fantastic in the showroom.
