Dansk exhausts...

Any good?
I have just bought a stainless dansk system for my 944. Does anyone have any experience of them, in particular will it sound like a vauxhall nova beantin exhaust

Not had one personally, but general feedback seems to rate them.

Look pretty good quality - I think 911&PW did a review recently on Type 911 who are a Dansk stockist.

Yes very good, I've got one on my 944 T.

The quality is very good and it's very light (7kg as opposed to 15kg original). It's not a sports exhaust - no power increase or extra noise. If anything it's slightly quieter than my old one coz most of the baffles had probably worn away over 15 years

Fitted it today - what a difference, it was the sports variety, and along with the K and N conical filter it sounds absolutely marvellous....I Would definately recommend it to anyone.

Well I've been lurking for a while and I had to comment on this one...........if that K&N conical is located behind the radiator and inside the engine compartment, you "are" a boy racer. The cold air factory setup is superior (and cleaner).

Hi Mike.Please could you tell me where you bought your Dansk exhaust.I also have a K&N induction kit fitted to my 2.7LUX.I guess I am around same age as you,30 somethings?Better to be a boy racer than an old t*sser eh?

Hi Stann, Bought mine from type 911. It is the sports variety, and very good quality. I can thoroughly recommend them.

It even burbles at idle
(even though it has a bank of cylinders missing)

Northways just fitted me a Dansk stainless steel system as a standard replacement as it's as good as an original and somewhat cheaper.

No performance advantage over the original (no loss either) but sounds even nicer and looks the part with the tail pipe being about 20mm fatter.
