Getting out of Porsche (a break)

Currently in a 991, 3.4 which is beautiful, its the 4th 911 I have owned.
It's nearing the end of a year of ownership & I am thinking of bailing out as I normally change after a year & depreciation is a factor.

Thing is in looking to change I have looked at newer 911's & a couple of thoughts jump out, one is that i feel I want to change marque as much as I love 911's, the second is a little more controversial, I don't think newer 911's are worth the money asking 75k for a 2014 used 911 just does not sit right with me. It's too little car for the money. I don't know what you think but this is my view of the current pricing

Looking at Maserati Gran Tourismo's & other marques I will return to porsche as I think it's the most complete sports car & it's not a car of being bored but there are worthwhile alternatives out there for this kind of money.

If you feel like that then why not try another marque? Let's face it, life is short and there are many different cars to try! Any change, good or bad, can only help to give you more perspective on future purchases. It may actually end up reinforcing your view that porkers are the most complete on the market. It sounds like you crave something a little less common, or perhaps you've just become too familiar with the Porsche cookie cutter approach and crave something more unique. I've been doing my usual periodic perusal of the market this evening, and if depreciation is a concern, there's seemingly a whole host of interesting stuff out there for 911 money that will hold their value better, and possibly even appreciate. R8's and AMV8's, for example. F430's have significantly appreciated. Not sure about Maserati's.
