911 values summer to winter
Discussion
I bought mine just after Xmas. There were 8 997.2 cabs sitting around the OPC network at the time and some had been sat there a while. I think OPC refuce the price of old stock every month as they don't like to hold cars for long. It's at that point you can strike a bargain. Good luck, buy one, they are brilliant on a crisp winter day as long as you have heated seats and it sounds amazing with the top down
Major factor is that a lot of the major dealer groups have a 90 day holding period so in Oct/Nov they don't want to be taking soft tops into stock as they will be required to sell them mid-winter on to the trade if they don't sell them retail. Obviously by the end of Jan and Feb that three month holding period is April/May and a much better time to sell cars. Thus in theory the worst time to sell cars is Oct/Nov.
I've bought 4 911 cabs and found that jan feb the prices ae at the lowest and you can negotiate the best deal. Watch the cars - if you want an OPC vehicle then simply pdf the search results every sunday night and then then track back how long the cars have been up for sale and the price history. Go and make a cheeky offer - i just bought an OPC 991 C2S Cab with £5k off retail, cash purchase, after a bit of haggling. Good luck! Simmo
