Sound deadening - 21st Century 996 Cruiser.

Woos alert: Trying to make my 996.1 fit for 21st century distance driving at the hands of a noise sensitive old git. Done all the engine preventive stuff; satnav, reversing camera etc., going in Friday, pondering a "pasha" interior; steam clean and Dinitrol week after next, so now thinking about sound deadening...any experiences out there?

I had a sound deadening install completed on my 987.2 S Cayman, granted not a 996 but might give you a few ideas.

Alpine also make a digital processor that can run sound cancelling - just like on headphones. Should work very well for tyre/road noise.

Interesting. Just had a quick google but couldn't decipher if music had to be playing to enable sound cancelling or not?
