Hi guys
Im new to this so go easy! Im after a modern classic that might allow me to buy a fun car as an everyday chariot that will avoid the depreciation costs that would come with a modern performance car. Ive been watching 993s for a while and noticed this one that appeared today. Any opinions?

If you're worried about costs Targa's can be horribly expensive if there are any issues with the roof so would check the roof throughly for leaks and operation etc
I'd also check that those wheels are proper Turbo wheels and not copies. The fact it doesn't have the proper Targa wheels is a bit of a black mark (if the wheels aren't OEM I wouldn't buy it full stop) for me as are the mods. I'd rather a completely stick car, don't really see the point of upgrading the performance aspects of a Targa or Cab...if that's your thing drive a coupe.

Hi, I have a 993 Targa and they are wonderful cars. I just had mine serviced by Precision Porsche and they have a very good silver one for sale. Have a look at that one, the price is flexible I believe.
Low mileage, silver with black interior and a good history. Known to the guys at Precision.

Had one and sold last year, 71k miles for £50k through JZM.
I love the Targa, for most peoples driving, they really are still a fabulous car on UK roads, especially with the roof down.
Standard they're a bit quiet for me, I fitted a Dansk SS exhaust which transformed it. Great sound.
Still a quick car, easily enough grunt.
As said, watch out for the roof gremlins, they do crop up without warning and can cost a bit to repair.
That one seems a bit toppy with the miles, but also have to say it looks in great condition. Not many really good ones around now.
Doubt they'll go down in money now, so no real downside if it checks out ok on an inspection.

As has been noted it's not on targa wheels, that were a specific size for a reason - not to shake the roof to bits.

Do go into 993 ownership with your eyes wide open, it's less about issues, there are some, more that unless you're very unusual you won't be able to resist modifying and improving, it's addictive, and VERY expensive!
