GT4/Spyder Seats

Hi there,

Can anyone tell me how much the 918 Carbon fibre bucket seats were when specked on either the GT4 or Boxter Spyder? Lovely to look at but with no heating option, were they really worth it?

The 918 seats look absolutely stunning, and to be honest how often will you be driving a car with fitted with Pilot Cup-2's in conditions that will require your bot to be heated?

On the Spyder they were £800~.

They weren't initially on the configurator so I switched from the sports buckets after a few weeks - don't regret it at all. I think they really make the car.

Every time time I've driven mine since October. Love heated seats, stops my back from getting stiff. Heated seats on, climate nice and cool - perfect.

And to those lucky enough to own the Spyder, my current thought it to buy one and not the GT4 as I wont be on the track (in anything other than a 620R) but I would like the chance to drop the top. Oh, and they're cheaper.....and rarer. Am I mad??

I've had a GT4 and 991RS with full '918' buckets, and a 991GT3 with folding buckets. In my opinion, the 918 seats look better, but as far as comfort is concerned, they both feel the same. However, if I had a Spyder, then I'd go with folding buckets to get the heated seat option...
