Help!

I have got a constant ticking noise in my engine bay, when I start up its fine but after it running for about 15 mins its starts to tick constantly. any ideas or could it just be something loose. it is going into camshaft next week for brake light switch and some brake pads, but I want them to take a look at this aswell and an early idea would be good.

All thought aprreciated.

Maybe....as they are hydraulic...does the car have enough oil in it.

Imposssible to diagnose over the net,,,,but having had a similar problem on a 911 which i thought was tappets, it turned out to be an HT lead which was breaking down and arcing....this was certainly more noticeable as the engine was warm.

Does the speed of the ticking increase with engine speed? Does it sound like an arcing or a metallic ticking? As someone else said, internet diagnosis is nigh on impossible (unless you can record it and post a .WAV file)!

Its probably nothing as all porsche engines sound like old tin cans. My last three have all had engine rattles and ticking noises
