964 RS LWT with an RS NTG VIN???

The chassis number ties in with the last of the 64RS built, there was a cancelled Macau race and the scheduled build 20 NGT cars were then bought by the Japanese importer at a decent price to sell to the public.
I don't know the car or full story, but would have thought it would have M003 NGT spec?
Maybe the chassis numbers were allocated and the importer had the chance to change the spec pre build?
I know the Macau/Japanese cars were in a mix of colours not all white.
Have a look at the option code spec to see if it listed as M002 or 3. It should start with C08 for Japan (Lhd) build.

I seem to recall that there were less than 266 NGT's ... but part of their uniqueness was the fact that the 993RS CS had Vin numbers in series with other 993RS where the 964 RS NGT (CS) ended 99 XXX rather then 9XXXX.
Is there any way of checking with Porsche ??

Having queried the vin number ... I also had the two recalls done on my '91 NGT during my ownership only a few years ago ... so if these show as due maybe the vin number is correct ??

fable or folklore or legend has it, i was told a long time ago by someone that would prbably know that this recall was brought about by a few cars being released when new with the reducer round the wrong way ! Any car that had this issue would have been obvious (i think) and was fixed . There are a lot of 64RS with this recall outstanding. And nothing wrong with the reducer. I doubt anyone is going to tell you this as fact.I am definitely not. So who knows?
I am guessing I saw the same grand prix white car many many years ago .For sale at a local specialist of the time. If my memory serves , you could feel the plates for the cage through the carpet? Possibly some "odd" welding on the rear wings too. Anyway Martin knows far more.
