Porshe 7 day drive away insurance

Picking up a new Macan on Monday, OPC has stated that Porsche no longer offer a "drive away" insurance policy, the one that can be cancelled after 7 days if you want an alternative insurance company.

I was offered the drive away back in June 2014 on a Boxster so it may have been suspended, anyone know if the OPC is correct?.

This is correct - was informed of the same when I picked up my GT4 1 month ago tomorrow .

Marsh used to underwrite Porsche insurance - but there has been a change and the new provider does not provide drive away insurance at present.

Porsche are not alone. Both BMW and Mini have also stopped offering 7 day insurance - as I found out a couple of weeks ago
