Hi I have a 997 C4GTS, I'm having problems with my left hand door mirror. Every time I revers the car the door mirror tilts downward!?
Sometimes it returns back to normal but most of the time I have you adjust it back to the pervious setting, can anyone help?

That's an option that comes with memory seats. There's a setting to turn it off in the menu I think...

Manual does indeed cover the tilting of the near side mirror option with memory seats. But the OP has also referred to the fact that the mirror is not always returning to the preset position once the car resumes forward motion.

That being so I don't think his post merits a reply with an abbreviated swear word.

I'm not sure what form of sensor feeds into the logic to inform it that reverse gear has no longer been selected. Could be as simple as a microswitch needing replacement or re-adjustment. Find the answer to that and I suspect the problem may be solved.

Hi the mirror should return as soon as you start driving forward above 4mph.

Hi Chris, cheers for the info, sometimes it returns to norm sometimes not.
I'll try "Surtees" suggestion, I'll have a look at the micro switch.
I had the same problem with my 993 spoiler, cleaned and lube applied and started working OK again.

Cheers all, for the info/suggestions.

If you push the mirror button for your, drivers, side, the passenger side mirror will return straight away, if it's working correctly.
