Tyres for 996 C4S
Discussion
Probably a question that's been asked many times before, but has anyone got any recommendations for purchasing new tyres for C4S (currently has Continental Sport Contacts) in Kent area. Been quoted 297+vat each for rears at local OPC, thought I could probably do better without compromising on quality/safety?
Pete.
996 C4S have the same size rear tyres as turbos. ie 295/30 ZR18

I certainly would not agree to pay £297+Vat per rear tyre. Last set of four tyres cost me £620, by getting an internet quote and getting my local dealer to match it and thus keep the work local.

just looked it up for you.
Best Tyre is Michelin Pilot N1 (made for porsche). £285 fitted inc VAT.
The way it works is that they send the tyres to a fitter near you and that place will ft them.
OPC are the worst for tyres!!! I just got charged £420 for each rear on a GT2 315/30/18. I got a quote at the cheapest tyre place I know (Bracknel Tyre an Battery centre) of £287 fitted.
