It's the simple things some times. 981/991 wind buffeting

I like the window open now and again.

981,991 you cannot open the window or your head explodes due to wind buffeting.

ever since Porsche moved the mirrors to the door from the window the AIR feedback in 981/991 is enough to make your head explode.

Lucky AWE have a nice part which is a swap out for the oem part so as not to look stick on.

It's heaven to be able to open a window at last.
Awesome GTI can supply.
My review is simple, it works, it reduces buffeting about 90% , looks oem and is easy to install.

Nice to see such a simple thing works. I tend to just open the passenger window a small amount and it works also. I find that most cars have this traight. My Range Sport does as my Macan and most of every other supercar ive driven so its just not a 911 problem

Nice - did you have the "visible screw" rather than the "hidden screw"?

I agree ... one of the things I like about the old cars is that they were designed to be used without aircon which at the time, was very crude.

How many Aircooled cars had aircon ??

I've just received and fitted my foilers, which was a doddle, and I'm about to go out for a lunchtime drive. Thanks again for the heads up on these

So after road testing I've found:

1) There is no additional noise with the windows up. The car sounds exactly the same.
2) The foilers reduce the buffeting but don't cure it completely if you only have one window open. I guess that's to be expected as 2/3rds of the leading edge of the window is still spoiler-less. Easily cured by opening the opposite window a fraction to change the air pressure levels in the cabin.

Bottom line? They do reduce the problem, they look OEM and they're dead easy to fit. Whether they're worth £100 depends on how often you have the windows open I guess! I like to open then when I can so I'm happy

I run open more often than before now that's for sure. esp at lower speeds.

My twopenneths FWIW: Surely the whole point of a convertible is to have all the windows down (and the stupid draught excluders!). If you need windows up and excluders up you've bought the wrong car! A Targa is the answer.
