9m Website down ?
Discussion
the Nameservers have been removed for the domain.
The domain is IN DATE, so it doesnt seem like an issue with the domain, as much as the hosting or DNS provider.
If you know the IP, you might be able to access it from that..
There could be any number of reasons as to why this has happend, and it wouldnt be right to speculate past what i've said.

Why the rolleyes? That thar intarweb is many peoples' shop window these days... when it disappears people get curious.
Surely you remember when PH itself disappeared due to vandals doing a DDoS on it??
(and, being very cheeky, calling 9m can take some dedication
)I am afraid to say that a redundant email address on our site got hacked, the hacker uploaded a spoof ebay mail server which then posted across the www. Basically Ebay got hold of one of the mails and went direct to our host to have the site closed down immediately. Apparently once Ebay blacklist your site the host company drop it like a hot coal as they do not want to be seen hosting blacklisted sites.
The irony of this is that I received one of these spoof ebay mails only 2 weeks previously and did the "right thing" by forwarding it to Ebay themselves (maybe this triggered the attack on our site?). Typiclly it seems that big brother only looks after himself these days.
We are awaiting a 7 day review by our host before we can get a decision about relaunching the site, in the meantime we have to sit and wait, whilst at the same time losing all email facilities. Apologies for the inconvenience, if anyone needs us please call the office on the usual number +44 (0)1925 242342.

^^ sorry to hear that - I found the netabuse sightings on Usenet, showing exactly that.
Hope you get back up and running ASAP. Incidentally, since you appear to own the ninemeister.com domain, and redirect this to 9mracing.co.uk, could you not get your hosting company to serve the same website from the ninemeister.com domain?

As you have spotted we were lucky to have redirected ninemeister.com to 9mracing.co.uk, because it looks like 9mracing.co.uk will be blackisted and hence we have the opportunity to set up an alternative .co.uk, shift the site across and then simply redirect the .com again. However we have our fingers crossed that ninemeister.com is going to avoid the blacklist, otherwise we will be well & truly stuffed.
There is no point in me getting involved any further since it is our guru Steve who deals with everything to do with the site (including designing and writing the whole lot using a package supplied by the host). I think he has the matter in hand, but if anyone can offer help or suggestions please contact him in the morning after 9:30 on our regular telephone number and mention this post. Thanks in advance.

Glad you've got it in hand.
If it was a spamming site that was setup, then removing yourself from the Blacklist, once you're secure again, shouldnt pose much of an issue.
I seriously doubt you will have to give up the domain name in question..
the worst you could expect legitimately is some mail from some souurces to bounce whist you're blacklisted.
