Question About Windscreen Replacement
Discussion
I've got a 5 pence piece sized stone chip near the centre of my Cayman's windscreen.
It was there when I bought the car and has apparently been repaired/filled. Given its position, it's not an MOT failure, but is rather unsightly and slightly distracting at times.
My question is, am I likely to be able to get the whole screen replaced under insurance (I am covered for windscreen replacement) or does it have to be an MOT failure?

Technically/legally/morally it's not covered by your insurer. The damage is/was preexisting, and present before [policy] inception. Post up a picture of the damage - one close up (with something next to it for scale and to help with the auto focus) and one with where it is on the windscreen.
The rule of thumb is, once repaired (even attempted) you cannot re-repair, however, some can be. Skillz, innit.
