It's been over a year since I p/x my 981 Cayman S (which I managed to get over 10% discount inc. deposit contribution on a new factory order)

I have missed it so decided to go out for a test drive in the new 4cyl Cayman S and was surprised that I enjoyed the experience and the engine didn't sound as bad as what the press was making out (to my ears anyhow)..

I phoned my dealer i got my last car with and unfortunately my salesman had left and the guy I spoke to was unwilling to offer much and said most you you would get is 3% (inclusive of £500 deposit contribution) which I though was disappointing...

Just wondering if there are any good deals out there?

I'm just looking for a base Cayman 2.0 with a few options (around £3-4k)..

Any help would be appreciated

Nobody over on the Boxster/Cayman forum has mentioned discounts of late. I appeared to be one of the lucky few that got any discount when I ordered my 2.0 12mths ago.

I got 3% off.

5% off a base CS but worked out overall 3% after options. i tried a few OPC near me and many won't even talk discount with you.

I got a discount but it was less than 2% and that was only from ordering 2 cars at the same time!

I think the delivery times on them are still quite long so you'll struggle to get a dealer to entertain it.

OT, did you used to have a M135i? I think I recognise your name from the Baby BMW forum.

Rather than a reduction in price, has anyone managed to get options included at no additional cost?
