Porsche Diesel Emissions Recall

Hi Guys
Has anyone heard from their OPC regarding this and which years of cars are affected? Mine is a 2013 "63 Plate" Cayenne V6 Diesel.
A mate was supposed to have his new Cayenne Diesel on Sept 1st, he had a call from the OPC last week advising due to the emissions recall his build date had been delayed and car won't be built until late Oct earlier Nov but no firm date was given. He subsequently cancelled his order.

Brand new model due in a few months.
I shall keep mine away from the OPC as long as I can, I may even get rid as I have had it 4 years but do have a LOI for the new one due next year. My brother-in-law had his A4 updated sometime ago when it all kicked off and it ran like a bag of spanners afterwards so he got rid of it.
It only affects EU6 models from 2014 onwards. From their press page....

Software update for engine control system in diesel vehicles
Stuttgart . In agreement with the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (Kraftfahrtbundesamt – KBA), Porsche has recalled Cayenne 3.0-litre V6 Diesel models in the EU6 emissions class. The sports car manufacturer discovered irregularities in the engine control software during internal investigations and has actively passed on its findings to the KBA. As part of the recall, a software update was agreed with the authorities as a corrective measure. Around 21,500 vehicles in Europe from model years 2014 to 2017 are affected, including 6,000 in Germany. Porsche does not develop or manufacture diesel engines itself. However, as a vehicle manufacturer, Porsche accepts full responsibility towards its customers. It is of great importance to Porsche that customer expectations regarding quality, integrity and service are met to the fullest extent.
Subject to approval of the proposed technical software update by the KBA, the recall is expected to begin in autumn 2017 and will be completed as soon as possible. The vehicle owners will be contacted directly by their responsible Porsche partner. The visit to the workshop, which will take around one hour, will be arranged as soon as possible and will be handled free of charge.
Independently of the agreed recall, Porsche is continuing to carry out internal inspections of its vehicles to identify any further potential optimisations. In addition, the company is still working in close cooperation with the authorities, especially the KBA, in all matters.

Don't break out the champers just yet, Audi have recalled the V8 diesels too, and the SD uses that engine. Whether or not it has the dodgy 1s and 0s is yet to be seen.https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/industry/audi-b...
After any 'fix', if the car doesn't meet it's advertised performance figures when the vehicle was sold to you, surely there is a case for compensation.
V6 diesel owners are getting paid thousands of $$$ in the US in settlements just because they weren't told about the vehicle's true emmisions.
