PA1000 alarm

I only have one alarm fob for my PA 1000 alarm and went to Porsche Hatfield to see if they could order me another. As the one I have is not the master I have to buy a new system board for £150 + £200 labour to fit it.

Does anyone know of an alarm company/person who could help me get another alarm fob?

I just think £350 for an alarm fob is a bit, well outrageous!!

Ian's correct. Steve Cox at H & P is your man.

When I bought my car I had only one remote fob and no red master (you need the master to programme additional remote fobs). To achieve 2 remotes and 1 master, I had to send my existing remote and the alarm motherboard to H & P, who tested, updated and re-coded as necessary, supplying new red master fob and natty new remote fob (smaller).

As I live so far away from H & P at Sevenoaks I opted to remove the motherboard myself, which isn't a big deal if you are handy at that kind of thing (tinkering not dismantling car alarms!!), but if you visit I'm sure they can sort it for you. They turned it round in a couple of days, superb service. Cost about £80 all-in including next day special delivery back to me.

Rang H&P and will use them. Think I'll ask then to remove it, i may be a little heavy handed!!
