Nurburgring Insurance
Discussion
Need some advice chaps.
Both Privilege and Norwich Union said I would be covered at the ring in my 993 until I asked for this in writing at which point they put me throught to the underwriters.
Both underwriters said the same thing, "relative risk way too high so won't cover you or anybody else on this stretch of road". They qualified this as not just no fully comp, but no cover at all.
I have kept my road cover with Privilege as £600 Fully Comp is unbeatable, but since the German Police are not keen on the you-bend-it-you-mend-it approach to insurance (especially when your third part cover is voided), is it possible to buy one-off weekend cover for the ring?
If so from whom?
If not, who still covers the ring (and will back it up in writing)?
Regards,
Ian D
