Huge number of 996 GT3's for sale....

Just noticed that there seems to be an increasing number of 996 GT3's for sale in the classifieds, as well as a few 996 GT3 RS's as well...any reason they are suddenly all being sold?

Looks pretty normal. There are always about 30 for sale with about 3 RS's. Some nice cars in that selection.

I tend to agree that there are lots for sale. The prices are a mixed bag. My feeling is that 911V get it about right. They have a sensible business and don't vainly hold out for overly ambitious prices. They are also prepared to lower prices publicly.
The prices have softened from 2 years ago, particularly for Gen I. I think the Gen II are better, as do many people. Interesting to see a bit of overlap with 997 GT3's. I can't help but feel I'd rather have one of those than a 996.

I was vaguely considering how one might best finance a 996.1 GT3 (the only one I am interested in) the other day, what's generally recognised as the best approach?

Finance: I would look at getting as high a loan as you can from your bank with the lowest fixed interest rate, and for as long a period as possible. That means you would have to put quite a bit of cash in. Then try to pay the loan down more quickly.

Alternative is to call someone like Oracle Finance and discuss a deposit/loan/balloon arrangement secured on the car. Interest rate is likely to be a lot higher, although with the balloon the monthly payment shouldn't be much higher.

The second option would presumably preclude selling the car to fund the final payment however. I may park this idea, I think.

2 sold the other week for mid 70's, one with 43(?)k miles on the clock and a lower mileaged Clubbie.

La Source purchased another Red CS with teen k mileage as well so some cars shift and some arent.

Is the 996 RS not rarer than the 72 RS's? Even more so that 30% have been crashed. £250k seems a good buy to me :-)

yes, but I don't plan to sell it. just surprised to see what people are asking, last time a looked proper cars were being marketed in the mid/high 100's.
