3 questions, PCM upgrade, Air suspensions and USB source

Hi, I just bought a 2011 Cayenne 958. Whilst inspecting the car I didn’t bother to check minor issues, so, now after few days driving I found that the car doesn’t recognise the music USB flash memory. I tried both 2.0 and 3.0 USB, and fat32 format but nothing appears in the source section. The second issue is with the air suspension that the car doesn’t stay still on the lower level and keeps rising back again to the nearest higher level! Finally, Is it possible to upgrade/update the car’s PCM to the latest possible version and how?

Probably good to have a chat to your local plc about your Nav issues and could get the 7 digit postcode update whilst you were there that some dealers were doing for £140 a while ago but might be able to do something for you being new customer to Porsche and all that.

The lowest setting on the air suspension is a loading setting so will go up to normal height over 5-10mph.
There probably are companies out there that allow you to lower it more and keep it low as they used to do it with mercedes but can’t remember the company.

See you have a question about USB music compatibility - had similar issue myself and figured it out eventually.
Details below of what I did to fix it for my 991 - which is probably similar to your issue (check partition/format type on your USB - that's the usual issue)

How To Copy iTunes Library into Porsche 991 2013 PCM 4.52

Requirements
You have your iTunes library on a Mac running OS Sierra (10.12.3+)
You have a Porsche 991 2013 with PCM software version 4.52
You want to copy your library from Mac to PCM

The Problem
The PCM sometimes doesn’t recognise your USB stick or thinks there is no music file on it.
The Solution

iTunes
Make sure you import audio content into iTunes in high quality format
Open iTunes, then Preferences
Click Import Settings button
Choose iTunes Plus as the format
This close the window
This will ensure content is ripped and downloaded in AAC/ MP4 format
This format is much higher quality than MP3 and your Porsche can play it

Format USB Stick
Connect your USB stick to your Mac
You are going to Erase it now and lose all contents – so keep a copy of anything important elsewhere.
Go into Disk Utility (in your Applications/Utilities folder on your Mac – or Go->Utilities)
Select the USB stick – not the sub-partition, but the disk itself in the left of disk utility window
Select Erase (you are going to start with a clean USB by doing this so make sure you have a copy of anything valuable first)
The format of the USB stick must be specific. It should be as follows:
Partition Type: Master Boot Record (or MBR)
Format Type: FAT (Do NOT use ExFAT or any other type)
Erase the usb stick

Copy Data
When it’s erased, you just need to copy your iTunes library onto your stick
Open a window to your Home folder
Click Music
Open your USB stick in a separate window
Click-Drag your iTunes folder completely from Music to USB stick
Wait for the copy to complete

Tidy Up Data
If you want to remove all the unnecessary files, then run the script below:
Copy into your USB stick iTunes folder
Open a Terminal window
Cd /Volumes/USB-Stick-Name/iTunes
Create the below script, chmod it a+rx
Run the script

You’re Done
Drag your USB stick to trash
Remove it
Plug into your USB port in your Porsche
Go to source button and you will see your library in USB source
It will take 30-60 seconds to read your stick by the way
And you can import into your Jukebox (RTFM for this bit)
That’s it
