Calling 997 Owners.......
Discussion
The Definitive Guide to Porsche 997 (& 996) series 911 Porsche Book has been well received but we are always looking to add extra quality content and have decided to incorporate an "Owner's Cars" section. We did this earlier in the year with 996 owners and had a great response on Pistonheads to the same request, so I hope we can count on the 997 clan
There is a question and answer style template (in Word) which we can pop over to those that fancy sharing their knowledge and featuring their cars in the guide. Just pop me a PM or answer in the body of this thread.
For all those that have already purchased the guide, fear not as you will receive any updates free of charge, which is one of the many benefits of having the book on Kindle (which is compatible with PC - iPad/Apple - Android - KIndle Fire, etc).

Quick bump, thanks to those that have responded so far but we could do with a couple more 997 gurus (any models, GT3/Turbo/Cab/Targa etc) to share knowledge and experience with your 997 to date, positive or negative.
These are the question set headers for ease of reference/fill-in, I can also send as a Word document, just PM me..............
Introduction (brief summary about you, age/profession)
What first drew you to consider and then purchase a Porsche 997 (+ maybe a few past cars showing the path)
Which model 997 do you have & why did you choose it (also what attracted you to your particular 997, options, colour, service history, condition, etc & how long have you owned the car/s)
Positives (Things you enjoy about the car)
Negatives (Design faults, quirks & hassles)
Any faults or unexpected costs experienced (IMS – Bore scoring – etc)
Thoughts/advice on running costs (rough costs for depreciation, service, tyres, brakes, sundries, extra aftermarket additions etc any personal tips on saving money or avoiding issues – like those detailed above)
Your own top tips for buying & owning a 997 (including your favourite and least favourite options/ best model and model year recommendations)
Overall Summary of ownership experience (taking into account the styling, driving, running costs, reliability, etc)
<+ PHOTO of the car/ yourself either or both (optional) PLEASE ATTACH SEPERATELY.

Grant, happy to help. Do we get a free copy of the guide if we participate?
Paddy, we bought our 997s from Ray at almost the same time, thinking of selling up now?
Sorry to hear you are moving out of your Porker Paddy......

Hi RiccardoG... sadly this isn't possible on the guides Kindle set-up........ it's called a labour of love (as an author I know all about that LOL) and helping your fellow enthusiast while gaining a small slither of automotive fame (!!!).....

Paddy: Sorry to hear about life's changes. Still loving mine altough its not getting as much use these days. Last really was a massive 3k mile roadtrip though Europe this summer. Really enjoyed that as its what it was bought for. I've also been in a similar boat (redundancy, still not back up) but holding on to it for now as long as I can.
Grant: Ok, labour of love and fame it is then, I'll put something together in the next few days. Please let me know where to send it to.
Just a quick post to say a BIG thankyou
to Colin - Michael - Andy - Rhett - Christian - David - Peter and Riccardo
Thanks to their input the 997 guide has now grown by another 15 pages to a huge 225 total and gained some great real owner insights, tips and experiences.
If you have already purchased the guide we will be asking Amazon to push an update to you, as described previously, but this may take a few weeks (from past experience!). If you haven't supported the project yet then the owner's section is now included and live on Kindle, we have also held the special offer price until the end of the week.
THANKS AGAIN GUY'S

Glad to have been able to help! Shame I cannot see it as I don't have a Kindle, would have liked to read the other's views.
PS: Paddy, good luck with the sale)
I echo that Paddy, and thanks to you both for your owner’s pieces PS: Paddy, good luck with the sale)
Riccardo you don’t need a Kindle... simply any computer, any ipad, mac, android tablet, etc, etc.... then download the free kindle app and you are away..... you can test what it will look like by downloading a sample set of pages free. via the look inside link on Amazon.
