So I’ve got the second Allocation of my OPC coming February/March.. will wait for March Reg, so I’m not in lockdown as yet, was wondering weather to Spec the new Surface coated standard brakes? Instead of the PCCB’s... The new brakes, what’s I’ve read, seem to be similar to the Mclaren acabono brakes in look, not sure about performance.. I wonder if they will suffer with rust..

I’ve spaced them on mine, one of the reasons they are white is for the very reason that they produce little dust and hence will stay relatively clean compared to Standard steel brakes.

Ah Right, was wondering why they had Spec’d them white. Saves a chuck of money aswell, so win win.

Article hear about them

I think I'd want to know a bit more about expected wear rates....those special brake pas sound rather expensive.

If it's brake dust you're worried about the Gtechniq wheel ceramic coating makes keeping wheels clean very easy

Have you guys got proper allocations/dates for the new Cayenne then?

I'm waiting for my allocation for the S or Turbo, deposit provided on the day it was announced etc - but still nothing from my OPC about actual build slots?

Not heard anything. The full options/colour list hasn't been released yet and I was told that dealers would be conducting launch events to coincide with the official launch.

I'd say it's too early yet...they won't have had fairness build slots that far into 2018 yet. They've just got build slots for Q1 in the last couple of weeks.

As it's a volume model (by Porsche standard) they'll know they're getting a certain amount per month but nothing more I'd say. I mentioned on a thread about a month ago that the business manager for my OPC said he'd been told by Porsche

Have you witnessed the slot on the Porsche tracker system? My dealer is telling me they still haven't received a single allocation for them, so I'm surprised you've got a secured slot for Feb/March build.
