I am a TVR driver at the moment but it's not so much fun without my wife screaming beside me now that we have a daughter!! So the 996 seems like the sensible option

I really would like to get the C4 Cabriolet but I also need to get my baby girl in the back, the wife in the front and a stroller somewhere! It looks like I loose some space under the bonnet if we go for the C4 and we loose the parcel shelf if we go for the Cab. Am I going for the wrong car? should we get a C2 Coupe with a sunroof? or is there somewone out there who has made this work!?

Stroller might be a struggle.....I agree with the targa suggestion - being able to load the rear shelf that way is a godsend.

996 Targa - the back glass lifts up like a hatchback.

If your budget allows a 996 you can probably afford the porsche design stroller that is designed to fold in such a way that you will have no problems getting it and child and wife in the car. You may get some stick when pushing it around though!!

Hi James,
have just bought a 996 C4 Cab, and have two daughters aged two and four. They love Daddy's new car (as does Daddy)
Surprisingly practical, however, its for trips that don't require a buggy. Having said that, I think you'll struggle to accommodate a buggy in a Coupe or Targa either.

Wife did attempt to open engine compartment to store buggy

Get a 996 C2 Cab -- bigger front boot, parcel shelf still present when the roof is up.

'course I would say buy one, since I'm about to put mine on the market...

Hey guys, thanks very much for the replies, I must take a look at the targa as I haven't seen one yet. Would you mind having a quick look at my other thread
"996 Child Seat"

Cheers

James.
