996T Brake Upgrade Spare Wheel Does Not Fit
Discussion
In August I successfully had 6 pot calipers put on my 996T. I am very pleased in general as I have reported in another thread. I had a nice new set of PS2 N3 tyres fitted on Friday and I asked the guy to try the space saver to see if it fitted over the front calipers. It doesn't at all. This was suggested by others on the internet when I was inquiring about the upgrade originally. Porsche seemingly do make a spare wheel for the 996 M450 Turbo cars (those with latter PCCB brakes). It is in the parts catalogue and has reference 996.362.020.02.
Does anyone know of one of these going spare that I could buy?? I am slightly surprised not more has been made of this, albeit niche, issue.

It may not be the answer you are looking for but:-
You could sell or swap your spare wheel to someone with a Mk 1 GT3 which is supplied with a bottle of rubber solution and a compressor.
That way you could have a bottle of slime OR use the money to buy a bigger spare?
I could not drive in remote places without the reassurance that I had a replacement wheel, in case I damaged a sidewall which would render the slime uesless!

Agreed. I want a spare. Slightly irritating, but would not stop me doing the brake upgrade again. You could sell or swap your spare wheel to someone with a Mk 1 GT3 which is supplied with a bottle of rubber solution and a compressor.
