Just checked my front pads and they have cracked to bits.
I had new front discs and pads fitted by opc at 6k and since then i have only done 1 track day and 2k street miles yet the pads are shagged, and the discs are cracked again but not enough to warrent new ones.

What pads should i go for this time around and where from. I will probably do a few track days this year,
and im going to fit them myself because opc shafted me last time.
Thanks in advance.

if you wnat to try something else apart from OEM then it is only PAGID that suits the build.... with one the kelvar based compounds,

from OEM to Blue then Black then to Orange.. increading hardness, much longer lasting but questionable stone cold slow speed abilities.... many 911 owners use 'em without any problems.. apart from the odd squeal !

If you are only doing the occasional trackday i would stay with the standard pagid/textar pads. I get mine from www.eurocarparts.com .....It is worth clearing accumulated brake dust from the drilled holes in the discs, otherwise you restrict the brake cooling which can add to premature cracking of the discs.

Just be aware that some pagid pads (including orange) do state on the box "not for street use" - because they can be poor when stone cold.

Blimey 2000miles.

I'm not sure Pagid pads will last longer and the discs definetly won't.

What im after is pads better than std that can handle a few track days yet be ok for street use.
The std opc pads cant handle track days, they quite literally have blown apart.
Clubsport i thought about clearing the holes then my misses explained how the kids and her were in need of some attention so i thought otherwise.

You want to try the Pagid Black 4-2-1 compound. It is a road pad but can take the temperatures on the track.

The GT3 pads from the factory where cr4p, they fell to peices and made the cracking worse. I have tried the blacks above, the oranges and the yellows and they all work well. The oranges are a little scary though.
