What's the scam though? What if I mail him saying I'll collect it from Sheffield tomorrow and bring a bankers draft for 10k, but I'll need the registration plate, his name, phone number and address before hand.
He also claims to accept credit cards which which is odd.
How's he going to get the money without me realising he's not the owner?

I'll go back to the TVR forum where I get sensible answers shall I.
I know it doesn't exist (well it does, but it belongs to someone else).
I obviously won't get a bargain because he doesn't own the car.
All I asked was what the Scam was. Him simply placing an advert on Ebay isn't a scam, it's a waste of his money unless there is a scam to get someone to part with their money without them confirming the car exists.
Unless he's gambing on someone sending him a £9500 cheque without seeing the car or getting proof he owns it, I can't see how he expects anything to come of this.
Surely there is a Scam attached, but I cannot see what it is.

I enquired about a bike once. In the end it was getting daft - him claiming he was deaf so couldn't speak to me on the phone etc (to avoid revealing a lack of english accent I suspect).
It's surely make more sense to ask for a western union money transfer than his other payment methods. Credit Card/Bankers draft don't seem like the ideal payment methods for his scam! Obviously a bad/inexperienced scammer!
The scammers open an account and sell a load of cheap crap then with their 100% feedback they advertise the car.
Believe it or not there are alot of people out there who will pay the deposit or even the full amount with their credit card.The funds then get added to the scammers paypal account its bacs accross within 3 days or so to his personal account and you still have no car. A few days later ebay will look into it for you because your now a little worried.

only chance.
I'm aware that the car worth more then that , but the car is less important
right now then my daughter's health!

Square Trade eh? My friend had a similar 'deal' offered. There is a company assotiated with Ebay called 'Square Trade' but they do not offer a way of transfering or guaranteeing money as is suggested in the email.
The email you recieve will be from a non-ebay email address which if you look into it, will be from a domain registered in the last few days.
