Slightly irritating commentator but a good look at the Singer...

Lovely car. Lovely garage.

As an aside, are there no seatbelt laws in the US?

Yes there are. I am not sure when they came in and whether the car is technically prior to the law which is not retroactive.

That is one of the best colour combos I have seen so far.
Wish I could afford one of those as my daily

Great vid. I just came back from visiting Singer. Awesome firm, awesome people and awesome car.

The attention to detail is truly second to none and worth every penny they charge for their cars.

4.0 400hp. Bespoke for the owner. Wow, that power to weight! I think I would if I had the (loads of) money. Something about these I do really love... only thing apart from the money that would stop me is I don't think they are suited to the UK roads / weather.

Why not suited re UK roads? Probably more so than a 488, 720S, any Lambo in terms of size and compliancy of suspension I would have thought (also probably a lot more fun at lower speeds than the aforementioned cars).

I have seen two of these up close. The level of finish is Rolls-Royce quality, way beyond what any normal (even indiiviual) Porsche I have ever seen

Many thanks RDMcG. Have not looked at petrolicious for a while. If I had the spare I would own a Singer. 73 2.7 RS Touring or Lightweight I would take the Singer every time

Perfection.

For me, the most desirable car in the world.

I think you need to have lusted after early porks to get yourself in a frenzy over these recreations.

They just don’t do anything for me and even less when I see the price tag.

Everyone’s different though and I do appreciate the workmanship and attention to detail.

Something faster/lighter than a singer,3.8 390bhp,997rsr sequential gearbox,1000kg with driver and fuelled up!
Just fired up for next season, flat shift ignition cut to sort on rolling road next week.

Try and put a vid up of the response of the engine through the revs, just like a bike engine!

Well where I live (Nottinghamshire) the roads are st. You can nip off into and through the Vale of Belvoir but you'll be up against cyclists (riding clubs on the increase round here), horses, pheasants etc etc. Drop onto the A46, A52 etc and you'll up against speed cameras, SPECS etc... if you're lucky enough to be able to reach the speed limit because of traffic. I don't enjoy driving nowadays anything like I used to, in fact I'm at the point where I can't be arsed with it and often grab the keys to the Cayenne or Pick-up.

Far more desirable P. The Singer looks awful rear quarters, totally out of proportion, especially the side on view. Reminds me of those bizarre cartoon images of cars with massive wheels.

No doubt it’s a very desirable car but at that level I would go for a Carrera GTwithout a moment’s hesitation.

I love this car. Did you retain the long first gear and wired spacing between 3rd and 4th in the RSR box?
