I have a £5k deposit placed on a new 991.2 GTS 4wd and my doing a final spec on the configurator raises many issues. I dislike ancantara & carbon so my GTS is beginning to look like a leather lined C4S. So...finally my question.. does anyone know.. is the £7k power kit option on the C4S the precise same engine as that in the GTS, both have 450bhp, sports exhaust, etc.

C4S and GTS don't produce the same bhp figure.

It does with the optional powerkit I think? I thought the powerkit brought the engine up to GTS spec - also includes the PSE.

I went the same way on the 991.1, power kit on a C4S & Aerokit rather than GTS.

Word of caution, in my experience the GTS has a far stronger residual......

Definitely a few other considerations (as someone who just took delivery of a GTS)

Personally I like the black Turbo centrelock wheels on the GTS that you can’t spec as an option on a C4S.

I also like the black stripe on the back in place of the red light but that’s because I wanted a RWD not a 4WD but obviously the GTS4 has the red light

Carbon isn’t standard on the GTS, it’s part of the pretty expensive (in my opinion) GTS interior pack which also gets you coloured dials, stitching and belts. If you don’t like it, save the circa £2500.

I like the sports design front bumper of the GTS which comes as standard, extra on the 4S.

In summary - the GTS had nearly all the “extras” I would spec and the bonus of the only RWD 911 with the 4WD wider body so perfect for me, with the added bonus of stronger resale not that I intend selling it any time soon. Depends whether these extras are to your own taste?

it is beginning to look like I'm to be denied my GTS, porsche centre say they are not getting the cars they requested and it's looking like I will be too late for a GTS. I'm pretty disappointed, I ordered at the beginning of November
