How come prancing horses are so central to Porsche's logo and the other Italian designer/mnfcurer?

If everyone's so original, other than untamed stallions, and untethered bulls, couldn't they think of sometihng else? e.g gazelles, whippets, sharks.

I think you may have misunderstood, Trooper2.

Anyway, something to do with the family coat of arms.

Edited to say: oh hang on. Possibly ironic/sarcastic? Sorry, doesn't translate to the screen very well without the appropriate smiley. Try the rolleyes or wink.

Wasn't trying to be mean, (just a smart a$$) and I'm sure I did misunderstand but the word "other" stuck in my head.
