Hi,

I think i've posted this before but can't remember getting any replies.

Have any of you got any top tips for cleaning the inside of the rear window of my GT3 CS, bearing in mind it's got the cage installed ??

My latest idea would be a mop or something like it, but there must be an easier/better way ???

It's getting a bit hazy back there, and i'm struggling to see all the Ferrari's i have just passed

It's bad enough cleaning the inside of the rear screen on a 911 WITHOUT a cage installed. Could you not pay a small child to do the job - if you have none of your own rent one from a neighbour?

Nice jab at the ferraris by the way...

www.paintpads.co.uk/products.asp?c=2#s

How about some of the longer ones of those (minus the paint, obviously!). Fairly soft and furry surface, one pad to apply window cleaner stuff and a clean one to remove, all on the end of a big stick.

On a more serious note, how hard is it to unbolt the cage or wiggle your torso through it?

I seem to remember pushing the passenger seat as far forward as poss, then climbing in behind and (just about)reaching the rear window to clean it. But then again my RS is not the only Porker at the moment so I might have trouble repeating the exercise ...

I wouldn't reccomend removing the cage. Taking it out would be (relatively) easy, but if my retrofit Tequipment cage is anything to go by, putting it back in again is a major PITA.

I'd go with the small child plan - my two year old did mine for me yesterday.

Cheers

There speaks a true petrolhead. "Family? Weeell, I suppose I'll have to if it means keeping my car clean..."

I use a four year old. She misses the corners though. I tried it once myself and nearly got stuck. It was one of those panic moments where you wonder if you'll ever get out alive.
