Is this a normal issue ? When turning in my Panamera the front wheels grind and grate . This is particularly bad when cold .
I was informed that this is normal due to the differential on the four wheel drive system
It is pretty off putting .

You might want to check the level of the power steering fluid.

I had a similar noise on my S which was cured by a dose of Pentosin (CHF 202?). You might also want to make sure the power steering hasn't sprung a leak.

As mentioned this is due to the steering geometry and is worse when it is cold or the front tyres are worn. Known characteristic and prevalent on Audi's and Merc's.

PDK gets better when the oil warms up, too.
