They should put the sold prices on there too in the style of the Bullseye TV show hehe

I remember when I bought my GT3 thinking in a few years, with a few more savings and depreciation I will be able to buy a 997.2 3.8 RS in Grey with Red Wheels and graphics cry

Also, anyone remember when the Carrera GT were for sale around the £350k mark? Crazy to think people were (are?) paying considerably over that for a 911R!

Some truly special stuff in there.

The special ops RHD 964 Turbo S is quite something. I'd love to know what that went for.

They are a great bunch of people at JZM.

They have looked after my car many times.

And improved my GT4 with brake and suspension mods whilst respectfully suggesting leaving the engine alone ...

Great advice ... I'm still learning how to make best use of the 380bhp I've got smile

All the current mods are inexpensively reversible ...

I was at my local OPC earlier this week (sadly selling my GT2 frown ) - they had a 991R in the showroom priced around 380k - apparently it's going back to the owner now as no calls on it over the few months they've had it. Has the hype started to fade with these?

Why would you pay > £k200 over a 991.2 GT3 (overs) to get a 911 R - no wonder they’ve not had any calls - I bet these have a 2 in front of them now - just guessing mind smile

I believe a 991R needs to start with a 2 to sell it. I think the market has gone a little strange at the moment. Maybe things will brighten up in the spring

Surely the knock on effect of the Gen 2 991 GT3 being available with a manual 'box now ?

Market is softer across the board than it was a year ago; especially for older air cooled cars. R’s I am sure you’re right Gen 2 will have hit prices significantly. I would think £250k to £300k is probably about right.

Give it time. The price has been high and it will drop now the .2GT3 is out but over time I think it will be appreciated for what it is (v. Limited with some exclusive and trick bits and a much looser drive than a gt3) and at this point they will climb back up. All this is based however on two caveats

1. The market in general doesn’t totally tank
2. You have the right spec Car and basically haven’t Used it.

Look at the sport classics as another example. I could have afforded one once but no chance now.

The r needs to start with a 1 hellcat, when people smell the roses and see it for what it really is,instead of being reeled in by the marketing dept!
I brought two of the cheapest probably ever good straight honest cgt into the uk back in 2006/7,one with 7000 miles at less than what my car cost, and my car with 4000 miles was 175!

I wouldn’t mind buying a 964 C2 manual coupe.
There are a couple of decent ones for sale at Indy specialists.....they are asking silly money and they have been for sale for over 6 months ??!!
What’s the point? You either wanna do business and sell cars or you don’t.

I'm assuming they're currently sorted 'price high-to-low' (with the exception of the first 2)

i bought one a couple of years ago.
an average car, used but not abused, and had to put 40 odd k into it to get it right
i will lose 15K at least if i sold it today, but i'm not because they are like little go karts to drive!

that peppermint car at JZM would have saved me a fortune had i bought it as its in good shape and all sorted.

Thats what driving the cost of these now i think, the cost of restoration means the good ones are worth a lot of money

good luck in your search. totally worth it
