Hello all,

What is anyone running over and above PS2's in factory sizes for fast road / track day use? I'm thinking about the new AO52 from Yoko, but in a 245/40 front instead of 235/40.

Any other ideas I'd be interested to hear....

Stateside BFG Rival S and Yoko R888R look good, but supply here in the UK seems a bit lacking (for obvious reasons).

Thanks,

Jon.

Do you have to stay in OEM sizes?

MP4S or whatever its called, ive got MPSS on mine (996 GT3) and had to go up a wall size to get the MPSS. Im not a fan of the MPSS tbh as finding the sidewalls abit squidgy in corners.

I believe NXI has imported Hoosiers or Nitto before, but bit of a bh if you get a puncture.

Theres also the company that makes the WRC tyres doing some road tyres in 'our' sizes. Think its D-Mack but again id need to google it but not sure if anyone is running them. I only became aware when someone posted in the FB 996 GT3 chat group about them but the guy went for Michelins in the end

Sell it and buy l a 997 GT2 instead JE biggrin
Shed loads of decent, modern 19” tyres available to fit the bigger wheels.
Or downsize on the rim width and go Cup 2’s /Trofeo R’s in 235/295 (they’ll still be waaaaaay grippier than PS2’s)
