Hi all,

Just entering the market for a 997 and having done lots and lots of homework, I’ve narrowed my search down to 2006 to 2008 Carrera 2wd manual.

Would appreciate some advice on whether I should be looking more closely at younger higher mileage or older but less mileage?

Any thoughts would be very much appreciated

12 years v 10 years = no significant difference in my book so if you are very mileage sensitive, stick to this. I would buy on condition and history, and avoid very high milers unless enticing maintenance history ( eg Hartech rebuild, new suspension, coolant pipes, tandem pump etc etc)

Thanks. The highest mileage I would probably go is 80k although there are a few on sal just now for <50k. Appreciate you taking the time out to respond 👍
