Scuffed an alloy..

Just go to Poshwash (if in london) around £100 should leave you unable to distinguish the damaged wheel from the undamaged ones.
No need to go to an OPC who will just sub it out anyway, probably to someone less able. I had a range rover wheel done at posh wash last week and will be getting the porsche wheels done there when the time comes. They are excellent.

Lepsons were fab when I did one of mine - mail order service an option too.

Wow £100 for a 20" diamond cut , thats great value. No need to go to an OPC who will just sub it out anyway, probably to someone less able. I had a range rover wheel done at posh wash last week and will be getting the porsche wheels done there when the time comes. They are excellent.
My sons had a 17" one done for £114 locally.
Dont go for a smart repair, a full refurb is the best way to go , most well known companies are good and think you will have change out of £130 . Dont take to Porsche as they will sub it out as already said.It will be like new and sooooo much cheaper than a new wheel.

I had some diamond cut alloys done by Lepsons recently. First time they have ever done a bad job. Refused to do them again citing its the quality of the alloy metal itself which i didn't buy (they just couldn't be bothered to do them again and i think being 21s this may have caused them issues although they are not admitting it). The alloys new are about £1500-2000 each from Mercedes. They did my 19s perfectly but these were not diamond cut. These diamond cut alloys are very good business for the manufacturers

Chris from Exel Wheels has a good reputation amongst the Porsche owners and will come to your work /house take the wheel off and provide a loan wheel to keep you mobile and then have the wheel refurbd and then bring it back and refit it, thereby saving you the time/hassle and travels across large parts of the country to do this - there are other refurb services available though I haven't heard of anyone offering the same service.
Porsche repaired a scuff on one of my diamond cut wheels before I collected my car. The lacquer had crazed when I collected the car so they offered to redo the wheel. The second repair left the wheel with the spoke definiton gone and the centre cap sitting proud. They had to fit a new wheel.

Lepsons have done wheels for me before and have always done a fantastic job, but I've never given them diamond cut wheels to do.
Regarding McD's I NEVER EVER EVER use them
Corrected for you.Regarding McD's I NEVER EVER EVER use them

I had. 20” Diamond Cut turbo alloy refurbed locally to me (fully recut) for £125, however be aware you only get a couple of goes (max) at a full refurb before it’s no longer possible. I would try a smart repair if that looks possible and only do a full refurb when really needed.
If most of the outer rim is scuffed/marked, from my experiences of a friend who refurbs wheels, you're better off not trying to get a smart repair as the £s would be best spent on doing it properly. Yes, it's true that you've only got possibly a couple of refurbs in a diamond cut rim, though again that's down to who you use for the work & how good the equipment is.w5pwr said:

They spray the wheel silver for a smart repair, it looks shocking as you cant recreate the shiny laquered alloy look.Gassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff

h to refurb - you may want to look at getting a new wheel...
