997 exhaust tips

Hi,

Can anyone advise if they know whether the exhaust tips on the 997.1 Carrera can be changed over to those of the sport ?

not sure this helps but I have just removed a pair of porsche genuine sports tailpipes (2 x 2 type) from my 991 and replaced with a full sports exhaust - so the originals are in a box waiting for a new home. Good condition, photos available. Not sure they'll fit a 997 - might do - let me know if you want them.

just looked at some 997 tips on design911 and they look just the same as the 991's - if you've got diameter/dimensions I can look for you.

Hi, just checked and it’s close to 16cm (one pipe though, doesn’t the 991 have 2 pipes each side?)

If you want to fit the original dual exhaust tips from a 997.1 "S" to a "non-S" car, you need an adapter.
I did just that. I ordered them from FVD Brombacher, but they are ridiculously expensive.

Thanks for the advice. Is this because the diameter of the exhaust on the non sport is too small?
