Having spent most of Friday evening giving chase to gt3's i think it's time for a change.
I've spoken to my local dealer who has offered 15k less for my C2 than i paid only 10 months ago.(from them!) Whilst i expect to take a hit the very fact they wouldn't budge on the price of the new vehicle has left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. What i would like to know is who am i likely to receive a fair deal from? doesn't have to be an opc, i've trawled the classifieds on this forum but if anyone knows of a Mk2 with a good breed could they let me know. Bedford was my first outing in the 996 and it was infectious! looking forward to future events. Thanks to all concerned.

That's a pretty big hit !!

The fact is though, that the 997 has hit the 996 pretty hard in terms of depreciation.

I'd look to lessen the blow by trying to sell private, especially if you are not in a particular rush.

Good MKII's can be found for early £60k's now.

Hi Darren, I think it must be you that I took for a few laps in my RS. If you are looking for a GT3 then go and look at Deans, it is one of the best out there with a known history and very well looked after. Send me a PM if you need his contact details.

Glad you enjoyed Friday, I did!

Wasn't me but i certainly wouldn't have said no! sent mail regards Dean.Just noticed that yours is an RS and the question i asked may not apply to the standard 3. Maybe i'll manage to scrounge a few laps with you next time? Stunning cars the RS, a joy to watch from behind!!

Yes, live in MK.

I was at Bedford Friday in Yellow MKII, with Black wheels.

I've been using OPC at Silverstone for 1st service.

But will possibly have next one done by JZ Machtech, Kings Langley.

Let me know if you want a spin sometime.

Darren,

Owned a Mk1 Mk2 and now an RS so should have a vague idea how they go in the rough, havnt the foggiest on track though!!!

Sent you a PM with details and some other old rubbish, gladly take you out at the next Bedford evening.

Have you booked? I think there are a few places left for the next event.

Paul, thanks for the info. i will contact Dean later today, can't make next monday due to family commitments but i will endevour to pop in on my way back! From your advise it appears the Mk2 is the one for me ..... can't stretch to an Rs and to be honest my driving skill level wouldnt do it justice.
