just accepted a job offer in the US (subject to negotiation), and would appreciate some buying advice.....
Is the USD79,100 list price of a 997S what you really pay - or is there state tax, + other hidden charges?
Does the USD795 delivery charge get the car to the nearest dealer (200 miles from where I'll be), or is it to cover delivery to any address?
Anyone know how different the spec is, US v UK?
Please someone say anything, however minor, that helps me justify why it is better value than an USD43,445 'vette.
What's the typical delivery leadtime in the US, or is it more a choose from our stock type thing?
and finally, if I'm leaving at the end of May, should I be trying to sell my 996 in the UK right away?

I think tax may be dependant on what state/area you purchase it in.
