Just bought my Boxster 986S on Sunday...
Its fantastic. Really enjoying it!

£24k for
2001 S Basalt Black
Full red leather
PSM
25,000 miles
Lowered suspension/ 10mm
18" Sport classic wheels

Reasonable value?

BUT CDR22; two paltry 4" speakers in the dash
What and who would people recommend for upgrading the sound system. Love the engine note but for motorway cruising etc I like to listen to music

Was thinking about keeping the CDR22 head unit and adding amp and door speakers; ideally a small sub woofer
Budget of up to £600

Cheers

Ive got the porsche upgrade which is as you say amp and extra door speakers.

Seems to do the job well but not sure how much for Porsche to fit retrospectively.

Have to guess at too much.

Hi all
As far as i can tell the Boxster on sale up to late 2004 could be easily upgraded in the hifi department, and i would always go for Alpine head units, Genesis amps and Dynaudio speakers.
Can anyone help with the 2005 model year Boxster S?
I have ordered it with the basic CDR-24 with speakers in the door, fully intending to upgrade at a specialist supplier (mobile fidelity) in Glasgow. I know that the only crap thing about Porsche is the hi-fi, but has anyone done aftermarket fitting on the new Boxster?
