having seen kers in these cars, ie you press a button and get an instant 500bhp and s
t load of instant torque, and can pull 5.5 g in the bends, the lap times no surprise, if any thing looks slow on paper due to all the 5 minute talks.
lets take Spa
a 918 laps spa in 2.39 the 919 did 1.41 (faster than F1)!!!! very close to a full minute faster in such a small space of time !! is that 70% faster !!
the 918 laps the ring in 6.57, the 919 only 5.19 !! this looks slow without doing any real maths yet vs the Spa lap, and nets only 26% faster ? and what does the 919 do on the back straight 240 mph ?
or am I being daft and jumping up the wrong tree.
off to the sim to have a go ;-) I'll post my time in a minute ,, ok 15 minutes have to do 1 warm up lap 1st ....

Misha from Apex Ring Taxis already suggested that the 919 Evo can go Sub 5mins a few weeks back, based on reference data from their runs their for exhibition runs for the 70th Anniversary, and they weren't even finishing the laps.

the sim is fking hard lol re cal your brain, my arms are numb and I am sweating like a **** after 3 laps !
my veins in my arms are blue !!! (proper sim rig which shakes and has crazy FFB)
lol great sim laps though what a car in real life that's going to be hard work.
my issue was I ran out of kers and that's every thing so I did a 5.56 lap ! but only had 180mph down the back straight !!!
I am sure they can frig the kers to work all the time, I had charge built up but it would not let me have it !!!

3 screens or VR with Fanatec v2.5 base, 2 wheels & stuff, some shakers and a racing seat, with proper software to allow the shakers to work on rumble strips and not just shake for the hell of it. set up circa £6k.cheapest way to get a good one which does the job and is not a toy, as you can spend £30k !!!!
had it on my mind the last 5 years, as I uses to sim race on ave stuff, but this is now next level up without going stupid. If you want help I can give best advice as much as I can, imo you don't need motion if you have shakers with the right software.
