I'd love that, aside from its showbiz connection, the colour and patina give it an effortless cool.

In my opinion, they've given it a fairly low estimate to generate interest tho - and why not as it's for charity - suspect it's going to clear £20/30K with ease.

As its a charity auction are you not able to offset it as a charitable donation and thereby reducing your tax liability?

Unfortunately, it's not a donation if you are getting something in return.

A normal one is what 35k - it looked pretty ratty so maybe less - it needs many tens of thousands to get it up to standard
