Jump leads and another car would do the same and you might have that already; the voltage/power would be higher so a bit of care when doing the deed would be required.....
Tbh on a 993 the clock and maybe the radio would be affected; the clock is simple to click on a few minutes leaving just the radio; seek out the code first (if it has one) to avoid having to work around it.
