Hi, my 2011 Cayenne is on approx 117k miles and it's official Porsche extended warranty runs out mid-Oct this year, which I would expect the milage to be then approx 119k. I read somewhere that you can extend the warranty as long as the car has done less than 125k miles. Question is - if I extended the warranty for another year, would the warranty become void once my car has done 125k miles or does the warranty run for the full year - which this time next year my car will be on approx 140k miles?

Cheers

This looks like a "read the small print question"?

Thanks. Had a quick scan of docs yesterday but couldn't find it in the print. It's a question that puzzles my OPC too... had two different answers so far.

Get your OPC to check page 66 of the Warranty Guidelines document......

The mileage must not exceed 125k miles before inception of a policy.

If a car is presented with 124k miles and the owner states he will cover 20k miles in the next Warranty period; as the mileage is below 125k upon inception of the policy the Warranty can be placed on the vehicle.

Not applicable but, a 2yr policy can only be started if the car is LESS than 13yrs old on day of inception.
A 1 yr policy can only be started if the car is LESS than 14yrs old on day of inception.

Pope, thank you very much. I'm struggling to find something to replace my Cayenne with so this gives me the option of keeping it another year. Cheers mate beer

I do wonder what sort of success people have claiming on an extended warranty when a car gets to this mileage, don’t they just claim any faults are fair wear and tear?
