This 992 is looking rather.. s e x y

Am I the only one to think this 992 could be the best looking 911 to date? I appreciate the 992 in this pic is pushed into the tarmac but I think it shows the potential of what is to come. Great wheels. Lovely colour too and about time Porsche produced a decent blue - looks a brighter version of Lapis.. yum yum

But, I have to admit, the 992 looks a bit meh to me.
The spoiler looks like a pedal bin has been left open.
They are losing the essential 911ness, the rear engine seems to be disappearing into the middle of the car. Looks more and more like all the other cars.
991.2 is a better looking car... Why the need to change it again for the sake of it.

Saw it in the flesh last week in Germany. It really looks fantastic. It looked as wide as a 1.2 TT. The only downside I found was that the car seems to be getting bigger and bigger. My 7.2s will look like Smarts next to it
Interesting. It's definitely a looker from the side, but need to see the finished result to 100% make my mind up about the rear. First impressions though are positive. Might be a bit bigger but it's deffo got the traditional 911 look. Phooey said:

I’ve tried to keep an open mind but the more images I’ve seen, I really don’t like that rear. It is a mess. As mentioned above, it’s starting to look very American. A fat Murican. I think that photo above would put you in mind of KITT with the red light. I think the front is a disappointment. I find the angular bonnet lines very uninspiring.
Side view looks ok. Nothing amazing. Just alright. It’s a nose dive down from the 991 which was very attractive imo. I’d rather hoped they’d trim some fat off for the next one. Shame.

Agree with Phooey. That's a nice looking car from side profile. Also about time they did a decent blue. That's reminiscent of Iris on my 993 which I think is gorgeous.
However, there's nothing like a new 911 to divide opinion on looks. Always those that say previous gen was better. I like them all apart from maybe 996. Except 996GT3 as I owned one

I’m all over the show with what I like. Love the 964 but glad they don’t still look like that. Would look dated. I don’t like the 996. I think the 993 is alright but not as nice as the 964. I didn’t like the 991 at first but now I’ve seen a few pass me in the street and really think they’re really nice if too fat and long However, there's nothing like a new 911 to divide opinion on looks. . 997 was ok, not as nice as the 991 imo, but I love the appearance of the 997 turbo more than the 991. As for Caymans, that’s a whole other mess on what I like and don’t like

the new porsche x-marque rear end light cluster just does not suit the 911 IMO. for me the 997.2 and 991.2 better lookers with simpler, cleaner lines
looks more GT in size

It is the 911 that’s retired out to the Midwest USA , enjoys good living, too many ranch burgers, has a sun scorched rotund wife and enjoys nothing more than heading down the golf course to yap at the accountants in Rupert the bear trousers about the time it climbed Ben Nevis, could fit in 32 inch short trousers and dated a pretty blonde.
That yellow one is gooorjusss. I’m biased as my 987 is also bright yellow with the stripes (mine are fake poor man’s R stripes). The 991 is a little too wide and long but I can forgive it as personally I think it’s hot looking. A 991 still looks like a real Porsche character to me, albeit one viewed through the funny mirrors at the funfair. I think the interiors are starting to get a little too comfortable-old-man-sofa though.
I’m just a bit baffled by the 992 at the moment. It looks like it doesn’t know what it wants to be.
