Sorry to invade the Porsche forum but I have a little question for whomever is in the know. My buddy, who was having a senior moment, told me today that he had lost his keys for his F reg Porsche 944. I really couldn't give him an answer but told him I would ask the Porsche lads on PH.

Has anybody had this problem before, and if so what is the procedure for this predicament?
He has managed to get into the car with his work's van key believe it or not.

Will he have to get in contact with the manufacturers, or something like that? I don't know, I'll leave it somebody more qualified to answer.

Cheers

I'm guessing he'll need to order a new set from an OPC. He'll probably need to take the log book in his name together with some form of a photo ID. They should then be able to order keys off the chassis number.

Suggest he calls his nearest dealership, to establish exactly what paperwork they need to see before ordering.
