CDR-23 CD changer recoding
Discussion
I have a Becker CDR-23 in my 6.2 GT3 which is the later MOST (optical) type interface. I want to add a denison-style bluetooth box which emulates the CD changer.
Because the car did not have CD changer prep in the first place I believe the head unit needs to be re-coded via the OBD port (yes you read that right) to tell it to expect a changer. This should take about 5 minutes if you have the right equipment. Rennlist etc. seem to suggest some dealers do it gratis.
Local OPC want £90 to it which seems a bit steep. They are telling me it will take an hour and that is a discount on the workshop labour rate.
Anyone else had this done?
