I went to the April one and my son (10) said it was the best car event he’d ever been to!

There was an eclectic mix of machinery from a mk1 Cavalier to muscle cars to italian exotica and everything inbetween. I estimate there was over 200 Porsche’s in the dedicated parking area.

There are quite a lot of classic car businesses based in the airfield buildings which are worth a look - the bodywork fabricators was interesting who ran apprentiships.

So basically ogle at cars, chat, eat bacon butties and drink tea

I'm going. Its really a great event for variety and friendly likeminded petrol heads. The businesses that open up their shops so you can see what they do are great. There is even a brewery there. Wide range of vehicles, earlier this year a 9 cylinder radial engine motorbike made me look and stare for ages. Each cylinder was about 20cc. The front brake was a drum about as big as a milk bottle top. Brilliant.

Old stuff, new stuff, odd stuff. Aeroplanes, tanks, cars etc.

Another fab day - loads of awesome cars & great weather.

Liked all the air cooled 911’s and the yellow fezzer 250 SWB (i think)!

I really enjoyed it, the nice weather helped.... PH should put this one on the calendar for a SS. Plenty of room for members.

Fabulous day out.

Journey up was fun in itself... 1) one of the 911UK guys turned up to our pre-meet in a road legal 993 RSR race car. Completely insane. And 2) a '72 911S breezed past our convoy on the M40... and we were doing 100ish at the time laugh

I'd recommend the Scramble to any petrolhead... it's a real eclectic mix of modern and old.

SWB was a re-bodied 250GTE. Still absolutely stunning.

I saw that Car on Sunday and fell in love. I want it as my daily 911 - no need to clean it every week and a beautiful patina on the Car.

It’s been cleaned up a lot since the import.

Worth about £130k which is crazy, I think it will be for sale soon.

Ok maybe not a daily at £130k. I love the stealth under the radar look (odd colour fog lights etc.) and wouldn’t want it cleaned up anymore than it already is tbh.

At £130k it sadly wont be residing at chez Shiver!
