This sounded glorious today on the M25.

Not seen one before and worth a few £ by the looks of it.

Had a similar experience with an F40 recently on the way to Silverstone.

It might be a replica. I assume an actual 550 owner would not dare to drive or even insure it on m25, they are crazy expensive and rare. I know a chap from work, who had one of these at California. He has also ordered a replica to drive it, but kept the original one in the garage, cuz of the insurance. Madness.

I didn't know special insurance is required on the M25 but it is more likely a replica.

My great uncle had a Cartier watch but only wore it at home. He had a replica that he wore out. I think it’s nuts but a bit more acceptable than only owning the fake

You rarely see Ferarris on the motorway these days. Round my way I often see a chap zip past in an F40 on Sundays, there’s someone with a 918 too. it’s awesome seeing them being used on the road.

It's right hand drive so very unlikely that it's an original as all were LHD, There is an original that was converted many years ago so not 100% sure, probably only 99% sure. smile

I followed this 250 SWB home from an event at Goodwood recently....owner lives in NW London. I used to live very close to where he lived....saw it quite a few times on the road. Following that through the country lanes was a lot of fun! He wasn't hanging around.

I think 1 SWB was owned and raced by Stirling Moss,

Now owned by Ross Brawn.

Ross Brawn owns a different but almost identical 250 SWB https://www.goodwood.com/grrc/event-coverage/goodw...

Although I believe Mr Brawn also owns a silver 250 SWB which was at the same event.

1 SWB's owner has had the pleasure of being it's "custodian" for 35 years.

Here's the silver one which I was told was owned by Mr Brawn too. And yes they really are lovely looking cars....stunning!
