15" 964 wheels onto a 996?

I'm interested in putting a set of BBS wheels on my 996 for winter, I'd have preferred steelies but can't find any that fit.

Can anyone advise on this? The current 18" rims have low profile tyres whereas the 15s from the 964 have a lot more tyre wall, so might it balance out?

Any advice much appreciated!

I doubt you could fit anything smaller than 17s over the brakes

Even if they did clear the brakes (they won't), they are the wrong offset
